In answer to Brother Avera's question, first consult your Local Union about working out of town. You are more than welcome to sign the Book 2 in any Local Union, but right now we have an unusualy number of Book 1, (Local 136 members), about 225. We do hope to see work from the tornado damaged areas, but right now, people are still trying to cleanup and evaluate whether they will rebuild or not.

Hi, I'm a member of L.U. 1205 out of Gainsville, Fl. I was just recently sworn in. I worked 5 yrs non union.. wish I would have found this great brotherhood when i originally started in electrical field. Tuscaloosa is my hometown. Surely there will be lots of work coming up there soon. I would love to be a part of helping rebuild the city I grew up in. Work is slow here in Tallahassee. What are the rules about signing another L.U's books?? can you even do that??
